GRESUNALI, formerly known as KNF Community Market (KNFCM), is no stranger to most PACOS TRUST supporters. But to those who are new to us, PACOS organised socio-economic programs back in 1998 to impart skillsets and knowledge among rural communities, uplift livelihood, conserve natural resources, and more importantly, defend the customary land rights of Sabah's indigenous peoples.
Starting with only 15 rural communities, PACOS' network soon grew with more village people coming together to promote indigenous farm produce, herbs, home-made food products, and handicraft every once a year. In 2015, the yearly event was called 'GRESUNALI Bazaar', which is an acronym for 'Green Economy', 'Sustainable', 'Nature' and 'Livelihood'. The annual bazaar gained much traction until 2020 when the pandemic forced the event to be scaled down. With many local tamus also closed, the farmers soon turned to PACOS to help sell their produce and wares. In June 2020, the first Community Market, supported by KNF and PACOS, went online and has continued to run on a bi-weekly basis eversince.
GRESUNALI alternates with the Osuau Market on a bi-weekly basis.
